1. Who we are, and what this is

The I AM AWAKE Foundation (“AWAKE”, “we”, “us”) is a nonprofit foundation based in Crescent Beach, British Columbia, Canada. We publish education in conscious living, creation, and relationship, including a free entry course, a free library of recorded lectures, and in-person sessions and gatherings.

Two points of clarity, because they change what these terms mean:

• AWAKE is a nonprofit foundation, and is not a registered charity. We make no claim of charitable or tax-deductible status.
• AWAKE is not a school or academic institution. There is no enrolment, no tuition, no grades, no credential, and no certificate. Language like “course” describes the shape of the teaching, not an academic programme.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this site, subscribing to the newsletter, starting the entry course, submitting a form, or attending a session, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. This teaching is intended for adults.

3. This is education, not medical or therapeutic care

This is the most important clause here, so it is stated plainly.

Everything AWAKE publishes is general educational content. It is not medical advice, psychological or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, therapy, treatment, or crisis care, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Members of the AWAKE Collective hold professional credentials in their own fields, but publishing this teaching does not create a clinician–patient, therapist–client, or professional advisory relationship between you and AWAKE or any individual teacher.

Do not delay or discontinue care from a qualified professional because of something you read, watched, or heard here. Always consult a qualified health provider about a medical or mental health condition.

If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency number immediately. In Canada, the Suicide Crisis Helpline can be reached by calling or texting 988. This site is not monitored, and is not an appropriate way to reach anyone urgently.

4. No promised outcomes

The work AWAKE teaches depends entirely on what a person does with it. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee about any particular result, whether personal, relational, financial, professional, or otherwise. Nothing here should be read as a promise of a particular outcome.

5. Free access, and what that means

The entry course and the recorded lecture library are free, and are intended to remain free. No card is required, nothing converts to a paid trial, and nothing is withheld in order to sell you a larger package later. No one is turned away from the free teaching for financial reasons.

We may add, change, or retire programmes and materials over time. We may also stop offering any part of the site. Free access does not create a contractual entitlement to any specific content remaining available.

6. Acceptable use

Please use this site as intended. You agree not to:

• use it for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, threaten, or harm anyone;
• submit false information, impersonate someone, or misuse the forms;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any connected service;
• interfere with the site’s operation, or attempt to disrupt it;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect content or contact details from the site;
• resell, sublicense, or present our material as your own.

7. Our content, and your use of it

Unless stated otherwise, the text, images, recordings, course material, and the AWAKE name and mark on this site belong to the I AM AWAKE Foundation or are used with permission.

You are welcome to read, watch, download for personal use, and share links to anything we publish freely. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions, sell our material, or present it as your own work without written permission.

8. Anything you send us

If you send us a message, a volunteer application, or other material, you keep ownership of it. You grant us permission to read it, store it, and use it for the purpose you sent it for. Please do not send confidential information, and do not send us clinical or medical detail through these forms. They are ordinary email delivery, not a secure health channel.

9. Donations

• Donations are voluntary and fund the free teaching.
• Donations are processed by PayPal, under PayPal’s own terms.
• Because AWAKE is a nonprofit and not a registered charity, donations are not tax-deductible and no charitable tax receipt can be issued.
• A donation buys no access, standing, or privilege. Nothing on this site is behind a paywall, so there is nothing for a donation to unlock.
• Donations are generally non-refundable. If you donated in error, contact us and we will try to help.

10. Events and in-person sessions

Sessions and gatherings may be listed with their own requirements, capacity, or conditions of attendance. Dates and details can change or be cancelled. Attending in person means following any reasonable direction given by facilitators regarding safety and conduct.

11. Third-party services and links

This site relies on external providers (including Buttondown, Formspree, PayPal, Google Calendar, YouTube, and Google Fonts) and may link to other websites. We do not control those services, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their terms. Our Privacy Policy describes what data reaches each of them.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the site working, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or suitable for your circumstances.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the I AM AWAKE Foundation and the members of the AWAKE Collective will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of your use of this site or reliance on its content.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the I AM AWAKE Foundation against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any consumer-protection right you have under the law where you live.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always appears on this page with its date, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.

18. Severability

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
